Program Description

Details

Now in its 45th year, our annual juried exhibit is open to all artists and students, age 18 and older, residing in Wisconsin. The competition is juried by a working visual artist, craftsperson, or qualified individual from outside the area. The juror curates an exhibit of the strongest pieces, and they select the award winning artists.

This year's juror is Michael Martin. Martin received his education at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and his BFA degree from UW–Eau Claire in 1977 in the field of art/design. He spent the first twenty years of his career as an art director, creative director, and illustrator at several firms in Eau Claire and Madison, where he received many awards and several “Best of Show” recognitions. He taught college-level classes in design, concept development, typography, and computer graphics from 1993 to 2017 at Madison College. He continues to do freelance illustration, art direction, and graphic design, mostly for not-for-profit organizations.
