Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks form the core of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. This diverse and fascinating landscape with thousands of hydrothermal features, majestic mountains, and the largest concentration of wildlife in the lower 48 states is also one of the largest nearly intact temperate zone ecosystems on Earth.
