The emphasis of Brian’s presentation will be on the educational changes occurring due to such factors as school consolidation, the rise and fall of parochial schooling, and the emergence of a greater emphasis on the needs of the student as opposed to the primacy of the subject material. In so doing, his talk will focus on such dominant
figures as Alberoni Kidder, Samuel Davey, Homer DeLong, and Marvin Lansing.
