One Book One Community: Beekeeping 101

You may have heard a lot of buzz about honeybees. Beekeeping has been an important part of human existence for thousands of years but recently has gone through some changes. Join us if you'd like to learn more about modern issues including urban beekeeping and colony collapse or how you can start your own hive. A honey tasting will be included in the program.

About the Presenter ​

Drew Kaiser is the proprietor of Kaiserson Bee Company and manages just under 50 colonies.  He’s helped to communities around Western Wisconsin to implement beekeeping ordinances and teaches new beekeepers the craft. He caught the buzz of beekeeping from his wife, Ellen Sorenson, in 2011.
