What Do You Know About Opioids?

Opioids range from prescription medications to illegal drugs such as heroin and fentanyl. 70% of people who misuse prescription opioids got their first pill from someone they know. Attend a workshop to learn more about opioids and opioid use in Eau Claire County.

We will:

  • Define opioids
  • Discuss how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose
  • Discuss how to safely store opioid medication
  • Discuss how to get rid of unused opioid medicine
  • Learn about Narcan and Fentanyl Test Strips

Each participant may receive one box of Narcan Nasal Spray, a fentanyl test strip kit, a medication lockbox or bag, a medication deactivation bag, and other tools.

Attendees will be entered into a prize drawing.

This in-person workshops will include a NARCAN nasal spray training.

Please register by August 21 by visiting www.GetInvolvedASAP.org and look for the “What Do You Know About Opioids” tab
