Recommended for youth entering grades K-6 and their families.

Discover how quilts are more than just warm blankies for our beds or colorful decorations on our walls. These cozy covers have countless tales to tell.  Learn about their stories, along with the meanings behind their patterns and designs. Then experiment with different shapes and materials to create unique group quilts or individual, take-home versions of your very own.

Join presenters from the Chippewa Valley Museum to explore some amazing quilts from the past and today.  Take a virtual tour to seek and find a giant Barn Quilt and other fascinating examples. Enjoy Hands-On-History activities and get inspired to be part of a 21st century quilting bee!

Registration required; please register child participants (no need to register accompanying adults). Children under 8-years-old must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

This event is part of our Summer at the Library Performances series.
