Program Description

Details

Residents are invited and encouraged to attend to learn more about Police and Fire/EMT staffing and calls for service and how they have changed and expanded over the years, why a referendum to exceed the tax levy limit is needed to maintain service at current levels, and what residents can expect if a majority vote "yes" on the referendum and what can be expected if a majority vote "no".

A presentation will be made, followed by an opportunity to ask questions. Eau Claire Fire & Rescue Chief Chris Bell, Eau Claire Police Chief Matt Rokus, and City Manager Stephanie Hirsch are scheduled to present, and a number of City Council members are expected to be in attendance. Space is limited to room capacity.

Educational Materials, including a Fact Sheet, FAQ, interviews, and upcoming informational meeting dates are available now on our website at EauClaireWI.gov/Referendum
