Details

Revisit the legendary Winter Dance Party Tour as it crisscrosses Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa. Three of the famous headliners were Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens. They embodied the hopeful, joyful rock and roll spirit of the late 1950’s. A performance was held in Eau Claire at Fournier’s Ballroom. Learn the “real story” of what happened on that tour and on February 3, 1959 which is immortalized in the song, “The Day the Music Died”.

Co-sponsored by the L. E. Phillips Memorial Public Library.
