This Arts & Ideas discussion will revolve around Eliot Cohen’s book The Hollow Crown: Shakespeare on How Leaders Rise, Rule, and Fall, extending out to cover what Shakespeare’s plays can teach us about power and modern politics. Facilitated by Adam Kunz, UW-Eau Claire Assistant Professor of Political Science.

About the Speaker

Dr. Adam Kunz has been an assistant professor of political science at UW-Eau Claire since 2021. His scholarly interests are in contemporary political theory, tolerance, the limits of religious freedom, and jurisprudence. His upcoming book, To Hell With Heaven: An Introduction to Apatheism, presents a theory of apatheism through the lens of tolerance and his personal story of leaving a zealous, dogmatic religion. He teaches courses on political theory and constitutional law, in which he focuses on theories of tolerance, egalitarian justice, and free speech.
