To reach this goal, they have strived to build a workforce of talented water professionals through UW System-wide programs, internships, and research opportunities that teach students real world skills.

Presenter: Ingrid Lyons, Executive Director of Campaign to Save the BWCA | Ten years ago, the Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters was created around a kitchen table. Now, the effort to protect America’s canoe country from copper mining is a nationall movement. Ingrid will discuss the Campaign’s evolution, the core strategies that have led to major successes, what’s next in the fight for permanent protection of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
