Join us for a special program relating to the library’s art exhibit, The Art of Water. The show features six area artists. Hmong story cloths will also be on display.
Presenter: Synne Borgen, Norwegian writer based in Norway and New York City | Come along on a sailing trip through the Arctic waters of Svalbard, a Norwegian archipelago between Norway and the North Pole. Explore the wonders great and small: polar bears, vast glaciers and the tiny flowers that manage to carve out a life in this inhospitable land. Borgen will reflect on what she has learned about observation and wonder; the frailty and adaptability of both human life and ecosystems.
